No "Radio" button on latest iTunes???

So you've downloaded the latest iTunes update to your PC. I'm sure there are lots of improvements, but wait a minute! Where has the "Radio" button gone?.

Someone in their wisdom has changed the name of the RADIO button to INTERNET and also has not made it a preset default setting either. So how can I listen again to my favourite internet radio station through iTunes?

All is not lost, check out the video below to get it back.

I've lost my iTunes Internet Radio Button

If you don't like to open links to You Tube, here are written instructions.

  1. Open iTunes
  2. Click on the box at Top Left of the iTunes screen
  3. Select "Preferences" from the menu
  4. in "General Preferences"
  5. Select "Internet Radio" tick box
  6. Click OK
  7. You now have a button called "Internet", this is the old "Radio" button
  8. Click on this and you'll find all the usual internet radio stations
You can find Affinity Radio under "Golden Oldies" check us out, we play the best from the 60s, 70s and 80s and a little bit more too.

Ken Lockerbie Retires from Broadcasting

Hello Listener,
We have to tell you that after a long illness Ken has informed us that he can no longer broadcast. I'm sure our regular listeners have wondered what has become of Ken. We will leave that explanation for Ken to explain later. Ken has a great following and lists a large expat community of avid listeners to his regular Monday night slot.

Ade has been holding the fort for Ken and now launches a new show from next Monday called "Golden Decades", we wish him every success and hope that Kens fans will support this new show.

Ken will be doing some work behind the scene of which we will tell more soon so watch this space.

Visit the link to Kens profile at:

Best regards
Dave

Affinity Radio Update - Server Migration February 2013

Visit www.affinityradio.net for the latest news and link updates

We will be migrating servers this month to enable a better output to our listeners for the future.

Our websites Tune In page has all the information you need to get listening as soon as possible. Our “Listen Now” button (the Green one) opens a Windows Media player for Windows based PC’s. The Green button is available on every page of the site.

Listen on all Internet Radios, we are just a click away. We are registered with all Major Radio Manufacturers. We are also on iTunes Radio, go to our website for details.

Some of our listeners have reduced bandwidth. Poor ADSL or download limits.

We can provide a lower stream to suit your situation.

The links opposite will open up access to our 64 Kbps stream which will allow a convenient and cost saving alternative, it also enables a more consistent program when using a mobile phone so select our 64 Kbps stream from the Tune In app as well.

NOTE Our existing 32 Kbps service will terminate at the end of February 2013

We are also available from the worlds major Internet Radio Directories ( Links Page) so there are unlimited options available.

Should you be experiencing any difficulties in connecting to us, use our “Contact Us Page” and send us a brief description on your problem and we will get back to you.

Official opening of the new Studio 1

Well, finally after weeks of work we will officially be opening the new Studio 1 in Aylesford on Saturday 8th December. There will be a few bottles of bubbly popped and a few Lucky listeners have been in invited. There are a few invites left so log on to www.affinityradio.net and hit the RED button type GRAND OPENING to be in with a chance to get an invite, good luck.
Christmas is just around the corner. Our Christmas jingle package is being installed on our servers as we speak. I know you all love them.......really.....yes you doooooo. :) also we have a great line-up on Christmas Day with all the presenters doing an hour show so something to remember. We'll try not to play too many Christmas records as we appreciate you may need a break from them from time to time. All of us at Affinity Radio wish you all a very happy Christmas and a prosperous New Year. www.affinityradio.net
Work on the new Studio One is nearing completion with just a few minor items to complete. This may not have much impact on the listeners experience but it will enable Affinity to broaden our programs.

Also it provides another venue to hold live interviews (currently provided by Studio 2 in Rainham) and even live music in the near future. We are recording an EP with a band called "Hail the Leaf" this Saturday which will be the first "live" music session, although not for broadcast as it's way outside Affinity's listener base, no offence lads!!!

New presenters are being lined up for next year as well, these will support our established presenters and provide more "hosted" content. We will be upgrading our servers over the holiday period but this should not effect the radio service. Listener views are always welcome so any comments via our websites "contact us page" thanks. www.affinityradio.net
